Command Sergeant Major Daniel K. Elder

Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Daniel Elder is the curator and founder of The NCO Historical Society. He is an author, a researcher and a speaker on many areas relating to the history of the US Army Noncommissioned Officer. Elder is a known expert on the history of the US Army Noncommissioned Officer Corps. He was the general editor and co-author of the 2nd edition of the book Sergeants Major of the Army, published by the Center of Military History, and author and publisher of the book Educating Noncommissioned Officers, sponsored by The Society. He is currently accepting book offers and research subjects. Elder has been consulted with on numerous books relating to the US Army Noncommissioned Officers Corps, including The Shake and Bake Sergeant, by Dr. Jerry Horton, Guardians of the Republic (2nd printing), by Dr. Ernest Fisher Jr., and the Three Meter Zone, by CSM-Ret J.D. Pendry.
